Brightwell school is looking for new Governors. The Governing Body is a “critical friend” to the school, providing strategic vision, and supporting staff in running the school well.

The Governing Body needs a range of views, experiences and skills: some are parents of children at Brightwell, others live or work locally. There are several vacancies, and governors are particularly keen to find people with accounting and/or legal knowledge. However, enthusiasm and common sense are the most important skills!

What does it involve? The Full Governing Body meets once a term (ie. 6 times per academic year), in the evening. Governors may also sit on sub-committees as necessary. Training is provided.
