BRIGHTWELL DONKEY MAKES HEADLINES

BRIGHTWELL DONKEY MAKES HEADLINES

A new book telling the story of Pollyanne, the rescue donkey who made the trip from Brightwell Donkey Sanctuary to the Covent Garden opera house, is out this week.

Pollyanne dubbed 'a great scene stealer' by Placido Domingo was rescued from a horse sales market  by sanctuary owner John Maclaren. Instead of being made into salami her most probable fate she went on to a new career on stage, starring alongside John as an extra in Carmen.
