The Red Lion will soon be changing hands but the faces at the bar and in the kitchen will stay the same.

Villager Mark Brock is in the process of buying the pub, but Sue Robson and her daughter, Ellie, will be staying on to help for the first few months.

Sue writes in the latest Red Lion newsletter: 'As many of you know when we first came to the pub we had a 5 year plan and we have been here 5 and a half years. It has been an amazing time and a brilliant opportunity for the whole family but its time to move on. Mark has lived in the village for years and is a great supporter of the pub and he intends to keep it much the same. He is keeping the same staff, including the kitchen staff so our delicious meals will be just as scrummy.'

A handover Hallowe'en bash is planned for the night of Saturday 27 October. It will be fancy dress, with a prize for the best costume and the Brazilians will be playing live.
