An enthusiastic team from Brightwell joined this year's Royal Parks Half Marathon either as runners or supporters to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust in memory of Alex Lewis.

Alex's wife, Ali, his brother, Jamie and brother in law Martin all ran the 13.1 mile distance, along with a large group of Alex's friends. Andy Lewis's picture shows Sam Ebbs in full flight. Over the last four years, the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon which takes in Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and Green Park  has raised an estimate 11 million for causes around the UK.

Tickets are still available for the next BCRT fund-raising event, Arias at the Abbey. See separate news item.
