The latest candidate for our new ‘In the Frame’ series is Jeremy Goulston, team vicar in charge of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell and Crowmarsh for almost five years.

Jeremy admits that the dog collar changes people’s perceptions of you – even if it does come on top of a brightly coloured shirt (a Celtic green is his current favourite colour).

“When people see the dog collar, they’re seeing you through their own view of the Church – both good and bad”, he says. “But I hope that the more I get to know people they can distinguish my personality from the role.”

Jeremy told Sally Dugan about his past as a marquee rigger and pig farmer – and his secret hankering for a Staffordshire bull terrier. Go to Village Life and follow the links or click here

Meanwhile, the Spring Fair at Brightwell Manor, held on May 5th, made a grand total of £1,600 for church funds.
