Ticket sales and profits from refreshments at the Son et Lumière in St Agatha’s Church raised around £2,500 for the church extension fund.

Some 70 people were involved in putting on the performances, which played to a packed church on two nights. You can see some of the cast in Dick Mason’s colourful photograph; not shown are the “sheep” – a splendid flock from Brightwell School – and their shepherds.

A DVD of the show will be available later.

Meanwhile, a Bridge Drive is planned in the Village Hall on Wednesday 9th March, from 2 to 5 pm. Tickets are £7.50 a head.
