Friends and former neighbours of Sam Holland are warmly invited to his cremation, to be held at Oxford Crematorium on Thursday 29th December at 3 pm. Sam requested a party, rather than a sober memorial, so cricket jumpers and gardening paraphenalia are encouraged.

Sam, who died unexpectedly in Oxford earlier this month, played cricket for Brightwell with his son, Hereward, long after the family left the village in 2000. He was a talented gardener and continued to run his landscape gardening business after he moved to Oxford.

The family invites all who knew Sam to join them for tea afterwards at 22 Portland Road, OX2 7EY. If you would like to do this, please contact Hereward Holland at
