Want to get fit or just have fun? Join the 5-kilometer Family Fun Run and Walk on Sunday 25th September, starting from the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary, Old Didcot Road, Brightwell-cum-Sotwell. The run starts at 11 am, and the walk sets off at 11.10 am. You can register in advance by emailing or on the day (in which case you'll need to arrive by 10.30 am).

The course goes on and off road, winding in a loop around the village. Marshals will be along the route to direct runners and walkers. There will be no tent to leave bags and no changing facilities, so personal belongings are brought at your own risk.

The Donkey Sanctuary will have a mobile van serving drinks and ice cream in their front field next to the A4130 road. Water will be available at the finish for runners and walkers. If you donít fancy running or walking you could always visit the Sanctuary itself.

Toilets will be available on site, and car parking will be in the front field as signposted in Old Didcot Road. Dogs are allowed in the front field but not on the Sanctuary premises as they could disturb the donkeys.

All participants who complete the course will have their finishing times recorded and these will be uploaded here as soon as available. There will be trophies for winners of the Fun Run, plus medals and goody bags for all who complete the course.

The Community Association wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of Island Farm for kindly hosting and supporting the event.
