A mulberry tree will be planted at 6,00pm on Friday 22nd April on the grassy strip at the bottom of Bell Lane (opposite Sotwell House).

The tree is to planted on the anniversary of the day that Brightwell was founded (in AD 854) to celebrate HM The Queen's 90th birthday. Janice will bless the tree, there will be some music and a reading of a specially written poem by Brightwell poet Robert Seater. There will also be things for children to do. Any younger people that come along will be invited to help the Beavers plant the tree. The Mulberry tree and some village apple juice has been donated by the Village Orchard Group.
