| There have been numerous sightings of unlicensed hawkers around the village over the past few days. A number of villagers have been verbally abused and there are reports of them prowling around gardens and also causing damage to property.
Police advice is to report incidents to Trading Standards (TSinformation@oxfordshire.gov.uk) and this has been done.
These people are NEVER legitimate – a genuine licensed pedlar will carry a photo ID from the Police. Do not do anything to encourage them, and please report any future incidents, either to Trading Standards or to the Police non-emergency number: 101. Click for more details |
